A great story, of an illiterate Ugandan girl whose father died of AIDS, lived in a slum and found an escape by mastering chess. My favorite part of this CNN interview is when chess champ Phiona Mutesi says on a visit to New York City that she doesn’t like it: “Too noisy.”
