A primer on the upcoming Kenya elections, and why you should care |
IRIN is doing a great series of reports on the upcoming Kenyan elections, noting:
“Kenya has never held elections as complex, pivotal or potentially divisive as this year’s, which will see in a fresh president and a radical decentralization of power.”
Given the violence that marred the Kenyan elections in 2007, many see these elections as a critical test of stability and the quality of governance for the East African nation. The polls open March 4 and the world will definitely be watching. Other stories:
