Mapping the global water trade

The Washington Post reproduced this map produced by researchers illustrating the trade in “virtual water” — an assessment of which countries on the planet are exporting water and which are importing water “virtually” due to lack of this natural resource, industrial and agricultural uses along with just human consumption.
